Friends of Reid-Hillview Airport PAC
FPPC# 1431211
A community group dedicated to saving Reid Hillview Airport has established a Political Action Committee
with the Secretary of State’s office to accept contributions and make donations
to political campaigns within Santa Clara County. The Committee (PAC) is
registered as: Friends of Reid Hillview Airport PAC, FPPC# 1431211 .
Donations to the PAC are not Tax Deductible under Federal or California tax
regulations.
Contributions may be in any amount, but contributions of $100 or more are
required to include the Occupation and Employer Name of the
donor.. Retired donors only need to state that they are “Retired”. Checks
should be mailed to the PAC at : 2505 Cunningham Ave, San Jose, CA
95148
The PAC is limited in the amount of donations to individual candidates in local elections. Should interested parties wish to contribute directly to candidate campaigns, you should be aware that the leadership of the PAC is now focusing on the 2022 election or replace Mike Wasserman in District 1 (southern San Jose and south county..). Two candidates of the four announced for the June Primary are strong Reid Hillview supporters, and will receiver PAC donations. They are Johnny Khamis (former San Jose Council member) and Rich Constantine (Mayor of Morgan Hill, and a pilot). They are actively raising campaign funds now and also looking for personal assistance hosting neighborhood coffees, etc. Please reach out to their campaigns via their websites if you are willing to offer personal support to make sure airport supporters are elected to the Board of Supervisors. Susan Ellenberg will be running for a second term for County Supervisor in District 4 in 2022, and is likely to face minimal opposition, and is expected to gain our support. Finally, Otto Lee is also still raising funds to repay loans to his campaign in 2020 and to start preparing for his re-election campaign in 2024, and will receive our support, as of now. Joe Simitian was re-elected unopposed in 2020, and will term out in 2024. At this time we are not planning any contributions to candidates for San Jose City Council or for state offices.
